Scatterometer Value Added Data Products

O2-SCT-AWV50

12 Hourly Analysed Wind Vector

For generating 12 hourly AWV product, OSCAT and Advanced Scatterometer (ASCAT) onboard MetOP-A data have been combined. Along with wind vector and wind stress, other parameters of interest, wind divergence and vertical component of curl of wind stress have also been computed and provided.

O2-SCT-DAILYAWV50

Daily Analysed Wind Vector

The analysed winds have been generated at 0.5°×0.5° interval over the global oceans. For the generation of these analysed winds products, we have used (Oceansat-2 SCATterometer) OSCAT data for daily Analysed Wind Vector (AWV).

O2-SCT-HWV

High Spatial Density Wind Vector

Higher spatial-density (~15 km) vector winds are being generated using the operational Level-2A and Level-2B data by exploiting the high density backscatter data available within Level-2A and the OSCAT specific Geophysical Model Functions (GMF).
